Mobile Arts for Peace (MAP) Nepal organized a virtual psycho-social workshop on Psycho-social Issues, Effects, and Arts-Based Coping Skills During COVID-19, for school children, teachers, school management committee, CSOs on 19, 22 and 26 June 2021. During the workshop, 43 participants (23 Female, 20 male) on 19 June and 23 participants (12 Female, 11 Male) on 22 June and 42 participants (27 Male, 15 Female) on 26 June participated. The workshop was attended by participants from seven MAP partner schools: Janapriya and Churiyamai Secondary School from Makwanpur district; Mohan Kanya, Janajyoti, and Bhudal Danda Secondary School from Palpa district; Janajyoti and Mahendranagar Secondary School from Kanchanpur district.
Different art-based tools were used to deliver the training including music, painting, drawing, and acting. Participants were asked to express their psychsocial thought in painting, drawing and reactions. Participants shared their thourhg through art. Art use to express thought of unconscious mind. So, people express things verbally of of conscious mind. So, Arts like music, dance, painting helps to express.
